Examples of Partnerships and Entrepreneurship
Boreas technologies: university expertise at the service of start-up companies
UdeS helped identify the expertise the organization needed and introduced them to Marc-André Tétrault, a professor-researcher in electrical engineering and specialist in digital circuits. Together, they developed integrated circuits for haptic applications that allow for easier interaction with technological devices (phones, computers, watches and smart cars). This technology will allow humans to feel by touch any communication made by an electronic device.
UdeS and IBM Bromont renew their partnership to develop innovative microelectronic processes
In order to develop innovative and ever more efficient processes that meet the growing needs of high technology, the Université de Sherbrooke and IBM Bromont have renewed their partnership with the NSERC-IBM Canada Industrial Research Chair on High Performance Heterogeneous Integration, in addition to launching a complementary collaborative research and development (CRD) project with the same objectives.
Microsystems and microphotonics of tomorrow
The NSERC-Teledyne DALSA Industrial Research Chair in Next Generation MEMS and Microphotonics aims to develop and improve materials, manufacturing processes and applications for tomorrow's microsystems and microphotonics. The Chair thus cements the collaboration related to MEMS - microelectromechanical systems - and photonics in the Bromont-Sherbrooke corridor, which has been emerging for several years.
High performance thermal camera: major project of Teledyne Dalsa, 3IT and C2MI
In this corporate capsule from 3IT, the Interdisciplinary Technological Innovation Institute of the Université de Sherbrooke, discover the testimony of Claude Jean, CEO of Teledyne Dalsa, who benefited from the infrastructures of the Integrated Innovation Chain to develop a high performance thermal camera.
