Annie Dutil
Annie is a Master's student in Education at the University of Sherbrooke. A graduate in social work from the University of Sherbrooke, she practiced psychosocial intervention for 18 years before turning to teaching. As a special education teacher at the College, she first became interested in innovative practices in psychosocial intervention such as intervention through sports and intervention through nature and adventure, and then expanded to outdoor pedagogy, which she has been experimenting with for several years with her students and colleagues. Involved in the development of the new special education techniques program scheduled to be implemented in 2023, in projects to develop outdoor facilities conducive to teaching and in extracurricular projects for learning about nature and adventure intervention, Annie is particularly interested in the effects of an outdoor pedagogical approach on the well-being and learning of students pursuing higher education.
