Undergraduate Introductory Research Internships
Success in master’s and doctoral studies largely depends on student well-being. Student well-being is achievable by lowering anxiety. To keep our future researchers from feeling lost when going from a bachelor’s to a master’s research program, we have established an introductory research internship program for students coming from a bachelor’s program in law, education, management, physical activity sciences, arts, humanities and social sciences, or health sciences.
Students enrolled in a summer introductory research internship will receive financial assistance for the entire duration of their internship. The subject matter of the research project submitted must be included in the research fields covered by the granting agency associated with the student’s original discipline:
- Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC)
- Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC)
- Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR)
This is a great way to confirm your interest in research before taking the leap, in addition to potentially allowing you to meet your future director of studies for your academic path.
