2024 - Knight of the Ordre national du Québec: Prof. Pierre Cossette
This is the highest distinction awarded by the Gouvernement du Québec since 1985.
2024 - Knight of the Ordre des Palmes Académiques: Prof. Louis Taillefer
This prestigious distinction is awarded to individuals who have rendered significant services to French national education. The eminent personalities who are part of the Palmes Académiques make an exceptional contribution to the enrichment of the cultural heritage. The Palmes Académiques comprise three grades: knight (chevalier), officer (officier) and commander (commandeur).
- 2023 - Prix Acfas Adrien-Pouliot de coopération scientifique avec la France: Prof. Marie-France Morin. This award recognizes the excellence and influence of the work and activities of a researcher carried out in collaboration with France.
- 2023 - Royal Society of Canada, Member of the Academy of Science: Prof. Mark Vellend. This distinction is the highest honour given to an individual in the Arts, Social Sciences and Sciences.
- 2022 - Canadian Society for Civil Engineering - Horst Leipholz Medal: Prof. Patrick Paultre
The Horst Leipholz Medal is awarded annually to a member of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering who has made an outstanding contribution to the research or practice of mechanical engineering in Canada. - 2022 - Grand Prix d'excellence professionnelle de l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec: Prof. Patrick Paultre
This award is the highest distinction given by the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec and recognizes the exceptional career of an engineer. - 2019 - Order of Canada Award: Prof Micheline Dumont

Awarded to a researcher to highlight excellence and outreach in their work, having established innovative links between various disciplines, beyond their field of specialization. - 2018 - Royal Society of Canada - Rutherford Memorial Medal in Physics: Prof Alexandre Blais
The Rutherford Memorial Medal is awarded each year by the Royal Society of Canada to honour eminent Canadian scientists, academics, and researchers in recognition of their remarkable achievements in advancing knowledge. Prof. Blais was awarded this high distinction for his groundbreaking ideas representing significant conceptual advances and inspiring a major portion of incredible experimental progress, which could potentially result in building a quantum computer. - 2017 - Hector-Fabre Award: Prof. Michèle Vatz-Laaroussi
