Responsible Management Practices
Our School of Management is now recognized for its expertise in responsible management. It includes a critical mass of high-level researchers, specialized in this sector.
The core field branched from various research groups and allowed us to secure significant funding and create research chairs. At the UdeS, research on responsible management aims to develop approaches, practices, and management and governance tools to create balance between the economic, social, and environmental fields.
Our research both focuses on the day-to-day management of businesses and on the decision-making processes that have an impact beyond finance because our main objective is for them to have a true impact for generations to come. However, to implement changes in management practices, we must first manage to persuade people, businesses, and society as a whole. We must rethink our habits and biases, and change our day-to-day ways of doing things. This involves studying the financial aspect from many perspectives.
