World-Class Lecture Series

The UdeS is primarily an innovation environment, a cradle for numerous scientific advances. For these ideas to materialize, the institution has a duty: Opening new doors and creating conditions conducive to breakthroughs.

The World-Class Lecture Series (Grandes conférences de l'UdeS) are a series of free lectures by leading experts in all fields. The Université de Sherbrooke welcomes prominent personalities who will host lectures open to the entire university community (students, faculty and staff).

With the World-Class Lecture Series, the institution is establishing a tradition of openness and debate that will once again help position the Université de Sherbrooke as a world-class centre for innovation and interdisciplinarity. It wishes to nourish reflection and exchanges on societal issues as well as to open an unprecedented window on the most significant scientific advances.
