Age-Friendly Cities and Communities Project
As part of the Quebec government’s Age-Friendly Cities and Communities project, Suzanne Garon’s research team has developed a model and tools designed to support municipalities in adapting their policies, services, and structures to the needs of their aging populations.
The team at the Research Centre on Aging are working directly with the WHO, which has officially designated it a PAHO-WHO Collaborating Centre in age-friendly cities and communities.
Teams from the Université de Sherbrooke have been consistently contributing for years by taking action on built and social environments to foster the participation of older adults, prevent agism, and collaborate to support active aging
