Cible(s) de formation

Explain the aims of enriched and intensive language programmes, and the types of teaching/learning activities that support language learning at a more advanced level. Implement medium-term learning activities, face-to-face or remotely, supporting the learning of a heterogeneous group of students in enriched and intensive programmes. Integrate literature and media from Canada's English-speaking and Aboriginal cultures into the planning and teaching of enriched and intensive English. Carry out medium-term activities focused on carrying out tasks for a group of students in intensive or enriched English, alone or with colleagues.

Contenu

Implementation: General objectives and structure of intensive, enriched, and other special programs offered in English as a second language to primary and secondary students. Instructional materials and approaches appropriate for students in intensive and enriched ESL programs, including Aboriginal literatures, media literacy, critical thinking skills, advanced writing projects, etc. Differentiated instruction appropriate for students with diverse learning needs in enriched and intensive programs, including project-based learning and the integration of technology in teaching and learning.
